The magic of the season is here again! The tree is up, the lights are twinkling, and the decorations have transformed our Sandland Office space into a festive cosy working environment. It’s that special time of year when we come together to celebrate, spread cheer, and wrap up the year in style. It is also a time for us to pump the brakes, and reflect on all the hard work we have achieved as a team this year.
But that’s not all — our annual Christmas raffle is back, and this year’s prizes are better than ever! So to all Sandland Staff, don’t miss your chance to win something spectacular, just in time for the holidays. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, all departments have been busier than Santa’s workshop, gearing up for an exciting Christmas and a happy and successful new year. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next, but for now, let’s soak up the joy and laughter of the festive season.

Making sure every child has a present this Christmas
Birmingham Children’s Hospital Play Facilitators will use all donated funds to place orders from a specially-curated list of gifts, which have been chosen using their expert experience. In previous years, many generous supporters have chosen to donate toys, whether physical toy collections or toy donations via our Amazon Wishlist. However Birmingham Children’s Hospital have often found themselves short of presents in certain age ranges.
By providing Play Facilitators with the flexibility of our Celebration Toy Fund, it means we can ensure the Hospital have the right number of gifts for ALL the kids, whatever their age.
For any child, spending time in hospital, no matter how long or short their stay, is hard. What can make it more difficult is when they find themselves in hospital during times of celebration, such as Christmas, Diwali or Eid.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital try to make all of these occasions magical for the kids, to ensure their stay is as exciting, fun and sparkly as it would be if they were at home. Now, we all have the opportunity to help do that too by making a donation to our Celebration Toy Fund.
The Celebration Toy Fund has been created specifically to purchase toys and games, so children staying in hospital during these celebrations and religious holidays will receive a present.
