About David Williams – Key Account Manager

With great experience at Sandland Packaging, David has progressed from Sales Representative to Key Account Manager, building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service. Known for his calm and solution-focused approach, he ensures everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, supporting Aston Villa, travelling and spending time with family.

How long have you worked at Sandland Packaging?

I have been working at Sandland Packaging for 18 years.

Where did you work before?

Before joining Sandland Packaging, I worked for a company that manufactured mobility equipment.

How did you find Sandland Packaging when you first joined?

When I first joined, I found it quite challenging as I had never worked in the packaging industry before. However, I received a great deal of support and guidance, which helped me settle in and develop my skills.

What is the best thing about working at Sandland Packaging?

The best things about working here are the people, the positive direction in which the company is moving, and, of course, payday!

How has your career progressed?

My career has developed well over the years. I started as a Sales Representative, was later promoted to Sales Manager, and I now hold the position of Key Accounts Manager.

What kind of music genre do you like?

I enjoy a wide range of music (all sorts) from classic hits of the 80’s to today’s latest tunes.

What is your favourite drink?

I enjoy a nice glass or bottle of red wine.

What are your Interests?

I enjoy playing golf, watching various sports, spending time with my family, and going on holidays.

Do you have a favourite sports person or team that you follow / support?

Yes, I am a supporter of Aston Villa.

How do you cope with pressure?

I try to remain calm and focus on finding a practical solution to move forward.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

The best advice I have ever been given is to start paying into a pension as soon as you begin working.

What was the worst job you ever had?

The most difficult job I ever had was assembling walking frames, yeah, I think that was the worst.
