Introducing Jake Francis, our Marketing and Design Executive who’s the mind behind our brand identity and digital promotion. With a keen eye for detail and an endless well of creativity, Jake ensures our brand stands out in all the right ways and we communicate with our audience in the best way possible.

From crafting eye-catching collateral, communicating with customers, to strategising impactful marketing campaigns, Jake brings his skills to everything Packaging. As our resident creative powerhouse, he’s the go-to for turning ideas into reality and keeping our brand fresh and engaging. How long have you worked at Sandland Packaging?

I started my marketing role here at the beginning of October 2023.

Where did you work before?

Since 2018 I have worked for myself providing freelance creative services to a wide variety of businesses across different industries building my skills and knowledge.

My last full-time employed role was at the British Judo Association (The national governing body for the sport of Judo in Great Britain) working as a Digital Marketing Officer, Graphic Designer and Content Developer.

How did you find Sandland Packaging when you first joined?

I found it challenging, exciting and a breath of fresh air! The team have been really welcoming and supportive of me and my role. I’m enjoying the challenge of learning more about the packaging industry and the great bespoke packaging that Sandland Packaging offers.

What is the best thing about working at Sandland Packaging?

The best thing about working at Sandland Packaging – apart from the brilliant team – is the challenge it gives me to develop my skills. No two days are the same! The business has a lot of potential to grow and I’m excited for what the future holds – there have been improvements even in the short space of time I have been here.

How has your career progressed?

I’m learning every day. I am lucky enough to have experienced working in several different sectors and environments and I’m now enjoying my new role at Sandland Packaging allowing me to further develop my skills and knowledge of this industry. I look forward to seeing where we as a team can take the business.

What is your favourite type of movie?

I like horror films, historical and anything fantasy.

What are your interests?

My interests are designing, illustrating and frankly any type of creative work! I have a passion for brand identity, creating visually pleasing graphics and content and I like to think I have an eye for what looks good.

Away from creating…I love sport, mainly football (Arsenal), UFC, Judo and spending time with family and friends.

How do you cope with pressure?

Pressure makes Diamonds. I handle pressure well due to the challenges I have faced and overcome, not just in work but in life.

What would you say to your 16-year-old self?

I would say stick to doing what you do best and what you enjoy doing. Make a plan and don’t deviate from it, just execute.
