Our customer got in touch with an urgent request to create protective packaging for their wine. There were several box requirements such as: Double walled material, crisp die-cutting and the need for an internal divider so the customer could package 6 wine bottles, ready to ship to their customers.

The wine bottles were 75cl and 25cm tall. Our cardboard packaging had to ensure the glass bottles would not break when dropped and could withstand a reasonable amount of crush force (for those pesky couriers who like to get handy with boxes).

A flimsy box is a no-go when working with glass, so whatever we designed and manufactured, it had to 100% ensure the safety of this customer’s product.

For this project we chose to make an outer and inner for the customer’s products. This gave the wine bottles added security and bolstered the strength of the package. The combination of the 200KTBC material, internal divider and layered structure of the whole package created a very sturdy box with a premium feel.

By carefully analysing the customer’s original packaging, noting its original dimensions and structure, we leveraged this insight and used CAD software to design a custom solution that met the customer’s specific needs.

This involved drafting detailed plans for both the outer and inner components, ensuring the design provided optimal protection and presentation for the wine.

Through meticulous adjustments and refinements we crafted a tailored packaging solution that not only enhanced the visual appeal but also improved the functionality of the original box, perfectly aligning with the customer’s vision.
