At Sandland Packaging, we believe in supporting causes that truly make a difference. This year, the notorious Wolverhampton 10K (Hosted By RunThrough) took place on Sunday 23rd March 2025 and was not just as a fitness challenge but it was a commitment to raising awareness for mental health. Our chosen charity, MIND, does incredible work in providing support, advocacy, and resources for those facing mental health challenges and we wanted to make a difference and spread awareness of our slogan for this campaign: IT’S GOOD TO TALK!
Wolverhampton 10K – Sunday 23rd March 2025
The race started at Molineux Stadium on a wet but refreshing morning, heading downhill along the A449 before levelling out through Wolverhampton. Gentle inclines led back via scenic West Park, with a final push to finish at Molineux—despite the rain, it was still a great day for a run and an ideal course for personal bests.
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the generosity of our staff across the entire company, friends, families, and wider community, we raised over £1,000 including GiftAid for MIND! This money will help fund vital services such as crisis support, mental health programs, and advocacy work, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone. Our goal was to do one better than last year and raise £500, we are delighted to say we have doubled our donation goal and smashed our targets.
An Incredible Fundraising Achievement across the board
A huge thank you to everyone who supported, donated, shared and encouraged our fundraising efforts the whole way! Your generous contributions have made a real impact, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a compassionate and giving community. Without everyone being united, this would not be possible.
Why Mental Health and Talking Matters
Mental health affects all aspects of our lives, from how we think and feel to how we interact with others. By opening up and talking about mental health, we help break the stigma, encourage people to seek help, and create a more understanding society. We found the Wolverhampton 10K in 2024 and think it is an excellent opportunity to fundraise and shine a light on these important conversations and help raise much-needed funds for mental health support.

The Wolverhampton 10K was a fantastic opportunity to support MIND, a charity close to many hearts, doing life-changing work for mental health. I’m thrilled to see the company, friends, family, and even strangers come together for such an important cause.
As a strong believer in positivity and the power of conversation, I chose “It’s Good to Talk” as the event’s slogan—one I hope people remember in times of crisis. – Jake Francis
