To help the local community, four years ago we began providing a monthly donation to a local childcare organisation which provides pre and after school care for children. The support service works with a local school to provide children with breakfast, including a variety of healthy food options, along with a safe place to play.

During that time, the support has continued to make a difference. Their Operations Director, confirms, “The time has flown! We are still really grateful for the support from Sandland Packaging. Our staffing and food costs have increased hugely over the last few years so the support from Sandland Packaging is even more important than ever.”

It means a great deal to know our support is helping the organisation do its best for the children in its care. Their Managing Director continues, “Many families are still under financial pressure, and we have lots of children coming through who are not getting breakfast at home. With the donation we receive from Sandland Packaging we can help these families by inviting their children to the breakfast club. Not only does it mean those children get a great start to the day, but it can also help with absentee issues and encourage attendance. Often the children don’t only get breakfast, they also get time with their friends and time to socialise. There are enormous benefits all round.”

Our monthly donation makes a real difference, “The support from Sandland Packaging means we can extend an extra 15 places a day to local children. That means more children getting a much better start to the day.”

Martin Hickman, Managing Director said, “It gives us a great feeling to know we are supporting this organisation that does so much for children. It is the team at the club that do the hard work and it’s huge thanks to them for their dedication.”
